History of the Bell

She began,…

In January 1945, Sir Alden Todd (GI specialist in radio communications) picked up the bell in the ruins of the Sainte Barbe chapel and took it back in his suitcase after the war to join his family in the USA.

40 years later, in 1984, Alden brought the Bell back to Foy and a party was organized by the parishioners and Dean Lambert, parish priest at that time.

He will return several times to the Foy region. Notably in 1996 with his son for the inauguration of the Bois de la Paix near Bizory and the year of his 80th birthday.
